An easy tour in WW2 in which the fun factor is most prominent. Ideal for rafting-beginners, school groups, company outings as well as for families with children.

The Fun-Rafting course is near the town of Werfen and it’s embedded between the impressive mountain ranges of the Tennengebirge and Hagengebirge.

In a charming landscape, the tour has a lively start and passes at the foot of the monumental castle ‘Burg Hohenwerfen’ (see the plan below). Playful rafting sessions and the possibility of swimming in wild water makes our fun-rafting tour the thrilling and fun.

Fun-Rafting course of events

The meeting point is our rafting base camp in Stegenwald, near to the A10 motorway exit Pass Lueg (exit 34). Easily reachable in 30 minutes over the motorway from Salzburg.

In our base camp you will get equipped with helmet, wetsuit, life jacket and neoprene shoes.

Subsequently you’ll be taken to the starting point in Werfen (near the train station).

Before the start, our rafting guide explains all safety precautions and rules, including a ‘dry training’ on the raft. Perfectly prepared, the tour starts. The raft takes you down a 9 km stretch of the Salzach, back to our rafting base camp.
